Are dogs allowed at the Bay of Fundy?
While in the Park
You can have your dog with you at picnic areas and camping areas, and along the many trails in the Park. Enjoy your time in the park with all your family members.
Your furry friend can stay on outside passenger decks as long as they are leashed. You may also leave your pet in the comfort of your vehicle. Please note that you may not visit your pet during the voyage due to safety reasons.
Can I bring my pet? We are pleased to be able to permit pets on leash within The Hopewell Rocks Park. Pets must remain on leash at all times (leashes may not exceed 3 meters (10 feet) in length).
The Tidal Basin, where you can savor beautiful cherry blossom trees, is another scenic spot where pets are welcome.
Ferries typically offer two options for taking your dog abroad. Firstly, they may be locked in your car on the cargo hold during your journey. Alternatively, they may be placed into the on-board kennels. Not all ferries offer both services, and there is typically a charge for either option.
Rules of B.A.R.K.
Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site allows visitors to bring their pets while explore the village grounds. We use the B.A.R.K to remember the rules for bring your pets to Hopewell.
There is a Local Council bye-law which prohibits dogs in the Square, and local residents are keen to ensure the Square remains a safe and dog poo free place for people to enjoy and particularly for young children to play freely.
Pets are welcome at all of NC's Brunswick Islands' beaches.
IMPORTANT: Dogs are required to wear a muzzle when outside of their owner's vehicle: during check-in and during transfer between your vehicle and the kennel or a specially adapted cabin (depending on the ship), as well only at any time during outings in the exercise areas.
Pets are allowed on Halifax Transit vehicles and ferries if properly restrained in a closed pet container that prevents them from escaping.
Can I bring my dog to Nova Scotia?
All pets must be accompanied by their owners when entering Canada. You must bring a certificate issued by a licensed American or Canadian veterinarian clearly identifying the pet and certifying that it has been vaccinated against rabies, the vaccine used and its expiry date.
Pet Policy: Pets are allowed in back trails only. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length.
Dogs are allowed on the White Rock Promenade between Oct. 1 and March 31. Where is the promenade? The White Rock Promenade is located south of Marine Drive.

Cave and Basin National Historic Site
In addition to the cave there are miles of trails with great views for you and your dog to explore.
Pets are not permitted on trails or in the backcountry of the park, except leashed pets on the Lexington Arch Trail or the trail between Baker and the Great Basin Visitor Center.
Pets. Blue Water Resort is a dog-friendly resort.
Bringing a familiar blanket or toy along on the journey can help pets feel at ease. Dog or cat pheromone sprays can help to have a calming effect on anxious pets. For extremely stressed pets, prescription medications are available but these should be used sparingly.
You will usually be allowed to visit your pet twice during day sailings and once on overnight sailings. These visits are subject to operational/weather conditions and the captain reserves the right to change or refuse visits at any time.
Dog lodges are situated on the Promenade Deck. Not only will the dog lodge allow access to your pet throughout the crossing but you can also exercise them under controlled conditions. Pets, other than guide, hearing or assistance dogs, are not permitted onboard in the passengers areas.
Is Walpole Bay dog friendly?
Walpole Bay – A long sandy beach within walking distance of Margate town this beach is backed by the promenade that stretches along to Margate harbour. Dogs to be kept on lead between 1st May to 30th September from 10am – 6pm.
Pet Friendly Walking Trails
The Town of Hudson Bay 7km walking trail is pet friendly, please keep pets on a leash and pet clean up stations are provided.
Access to garden exhibits is free every day of the year! Except for documented service animals, pets are not allowed at Hudson Gardens.
Bring your dog to Independence National Historical Park, where Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are. You can't actually bring your dog inside the buildings, but you can feel free to walk around outdoors with your dog (under control and on a leash no longer than 6 feet).
Authorized guide and service animals are welcome. All other pets are not allowed aboard Statue Cruises vessels or within the National Park.
